Über Daniel Fort

As a son of czech parents, I was born in 1979 in Munich.
After a career as a CAD-Designer, I studied Photography at the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld and at the Yrkeshögskolan Novia in Finland.

Photography for me is the best way to deal with the versatility of our planet. I’m always looking for new destinations and adventures. The topics are wide spread. Foreign cultures and places, people and their environment, landscape, nature, outdoor & adventure sports, fashion and social themes.
Working in commercial and editorial fields, I’m basically available for all kinds of photographic challenge. Furthermore I offer completely written and photographed stories and reportages for editorial use. I’m also familiar with filmmaking, illustrating maps and designing books.
One of my concerns in my work are to capture the spirit of the things, to look for something poetic in our world and culture. An important part of my work is dealing with the relationship of human beings to the earth, the natural environment, the space we are living in and the experience and feeling of nature by humans.
Furthermore it is important for me to capture other cultures or peoples life in pictures, so people can appreciate different ways of living. I would like to acquaint the society with the numerous things which are existing on our earth and sensitize people to our world.
Currently I’m living and working in Bielefeld, Munich and Prague.
