This is part of a bigger project that actually started back in december 19. As the client is as interested and open to new challenges and ideas we thought it’s time to take explanatory videos to another level plus we’ve never seen anyone trying to simulate smoke particles as visualization for air. So we took some time and developed all the assets, simulations and animation stages together which resulted in the first part of the project, which you can watch above. We even started to develop new visuals as overall CI for the upcoming changes on their site, which resulted in the introduction animation for the logo.

Function: The highly elastic sleeve anchored in the valve housing is surrounded by the socalled control space. If compressed air is applied to this space, the initially round sleeve distorts, becomes oval and then lies flat in a preset position. The pinch valve is now closed, as long as the control pressure is maintained. If the control space is vented, the sleeve opens by means of its own reset force and returns to the round, full cross-section with the help of the medium pressure. With a control pressure approx. 2.5 bar higher than the pressure of the fluid, the HOmatic pinch valve seals gaseous, liquid, pasty or powdery fluids. The highly elastic sleeve surrounds any solids. A gas-tight seal cannot be guaranteed if the flow medium consists mainly of coarse particles.

The client provided some basic CAD data which was partly reworked and adjusted based on given pictures.

Used tools: Cinema4d, Octane and the Adobe Suite.
